Southeast Missouri Amateur Radio Association
May 8, 2010
We had 13 members show up for the meeting. Two people tested, one for Technician and the other for General. Both passed.
Ray gave a report on the exercise held April 10, 2010 in district C, simulating a 7.0 New Madrid Mega-Quake. The exercise started at 8:15 a.m. They used 145.33 repeater for the net. This was an exercise used to see if the ham operators had the proper equipment to be ready for the June 3rd big exercise. 24 members and 3 non-members participated in the St. Louis area. During this exercise they stated the results, observations, problem areas, and a conclusion.
J.D. Simmons sent us an e-mail stating that we will be holding a similar exercise on the 22nd of this month. Make sure that you check on the net, which will start at 8:00 p.m., for further details on this exercise. We might have another meeting to start finalizing the details for the exercise.
